Village & Township Public Hearings

The Public Hearing on July 20, 2017 at 7pm was your opportunity to share your questions and comments regarding MMMP, and to hear your fellow residents opinions on this topic. We welcomed all DeTour Township and DeTour Village residents.

Your Village Council and Township Board will discuss and vote on how to move forward as a community.

As with any topic you would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out to any member of your Village Council or Township Board.

On April 10, 2017 at 7pm, DeTour Village and Township held a public hearing to discuss adoption of a resolution allowing expansion and identification of ORV trails into DeTour Township and DeTour Village, with goal of eventually connecting trails throughout the upper peninsula.

MEETING PURPOSE
- Presentation by Medical Marijuana Growers who are already (or plan to be) licensed by the State of Michigan and plan to locate in the DeTour Area in accordance with each local governments' ordinances.

- Discussions from various Committees and Organizations throughout the DeTour Area on their past, present, and future projects and events. EDC, Concert Series, Festivals Committee, Parks & Recreation Committee, to name a few.

Michigan Recreational Marijuana Program

On July 20, 2017 at 7pm, DeTour Township and DeTour Village held a public hearing to discuss DeTour Village and DeTour Township's residents stance regarding Michigan Medical Marijuana Program (MMMP), which was adopted by Michigan voters on November 4, 2008.

This meeting focused on an ordinance amending our Zoning Ordinance to support or prohibit the Village of DeTour and DeTour Township to permit and regulate Medical Marijuana Grow Operations, Processing Facilities, Safety Compliance Facilities, Secure Transporters, and Provisioning Centers.
