A great spot spring, summer, and fall alike.  Located just south of town on M-134, Malette Park offers families a great picnic, swimming, fishing, freighter watching, kayaking, and boating spot on the St Mary's River.  With 8 picnic tables, seven charcoal grills, a sandy beach, and plenty of sun and shade, you can relax all day.   A DNR public boat launch on the south end of this park allows for all around fun.

On the north end of this park you will find a roadside turnout with a viewing platform overlooking Olmstad Bay and St Mary's River, a picnic table with a charcoal drill, ample parking plus an information booth offering maps and flyers about DeTour and surrounding communities and eastern upper peninsula.
