The Linda Jean

Semi retired in 2018, the Linda Jean has been servicing foreign vessel traffic needing River Pilots since 19xx.  Beginning with the 2018 Shipping Season the Linda Jean  will be used in icy water conditions, relieving the Western Pilot. 

Built locally by Philo Leonard in 1948. The Gwen became DeTour's first pilot boat in 1959, with the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. 

in 1987 The Gwen was renamed Philo B Leonard, honoring her builder.

Owned and operated by Passage Boat Works, the Western Pilot arrived in DeTour Village in July, 2018 to begin service as our local Pilot Boat.
